INFORMAÇÕES PRESENTES NA PASSAGEM DE PLANTÃO E AS IMPLICAÇÕES PARA A ASSISTÊNCIA

Abstract

Objective: The respective research aimed to evaluate the information transmitted during the shift change in the hospital and emergency room and to know the nurses' conception of what information is important to be transmitted during the shift change. Method: A descriptive, exploratory research with a quantitative approach was performed by applying two data collection instruments. The first followed the information passed during the shift change and the other evaluated the opinion of health professionals about what would be the important information to be transmitted during the shift change. Results: Considering the scope of the research and the follow-up of the shift tickets, with the professional nurse, we obtained expressive opinions that complemented each other about the importance of the information transmitted in the shift shift. It was noted postures that dialogue between the reflection and the practice and ability of the professional to transmit the reports, as well as presences that differ from his opinion on the relevance of the information. Implications for care were identified and remained routine within the health care service. Conclusion: it appears that there are factors that hinder the shift change and effective communication between health professionals, such as the lack of systematization of the information to be transmitted at this time, which can generate an extensive and tiring shift change or rapid, which does not include all information for the continuity of care and administrative demands of the unit.
